Samaritan AIDS Services Adult Day Health Care
The Adult Day
Health Care programs provide an array of services to help clients
continue steps toward a healthy life. By striving to address the
entire range of each client's needs, the programs assist participants
in achieving a high level of well-being, health improvement and
stabilization, avoidance of further HIV transmission and independent
living in the community.
Maintaining
a drug-free lifestyle is a continuing challenge for those in recovery,
threatened by fluctuation in health status and other crises. The
Adult Day Health Care programs provide concrete supports and structure
to help clients maintain their recovery. The programs offer a safe
and supportive drug-free community which emphasizes positive peer
and family interaction and support.

- Daily meals
- Rehabilitation

- Recreation

Requirements
for Admission to the Adult Day Health Care programs
- HIV+/AIDS
diagnosis
- Medicaid
eligibility or access to private funds
- TB profile
- Minimum
18 years of age
- Ability
to benefit from the services offered
Clients who
already work with a physician or case manager, or are enrolled in
other services, remain eligible to participate in the Adult Day
Health Care programs. The care team will coordinate services with
existing service providers.
